A chilled glass of homemade lemonade is bliss on a hot day. If you have loads of lemons to use up this is the drink for you!
Ingredients
1 ½ cups sugar
900 ml water
1 cup lemon juice
1 t citric acid
1 t tartaric acid
Method
- Put sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to the boil when sugar has dissolved.
- Take off the heat and add the lemon juice and acids.
- Pour into sterilised bottles and store in the fridge.
- To serve pour the lemonade into glasses until ½ full, add ice, top with water and serve garnished with a slice of lemon.
