12 Serves

 Dried pea soup mix

1 x 210 g packet

 Water as specified on soup mix packet


 Chopped assorted vegetables, eg carrot, corn, courgette,  kumara, onion, parsnip, peas, peppers, pumpkin, turnip

6 cups

 Bacon bones




  1. Place all ingredients into a large saucepan. Cook on low heat for 2 hours until thick and cooked.
  2. Remove meat from bones, discard bones and add meat back to soup.


Serving Suggestion: serve with crusty bread
