Ingredients

1 1⁄2 cups sugar

900 ml of water

1 cup lemon juice

1 t citric acid

1 t tartaric acid

Method

  1. Put sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to the boil when sugar has dissolved.
  2. Take off the heat and add the lemon juice and acids.
  3. Pour into sterilized bottles and store in the fridge.
  4. To serve pour the lemonade into glasses until 1⁄2 full, add ice, top with water and serve garnished with a slice of lemon.
