dahl Dahl is an excellent way to eat lentils. This is a mild, sweet Dahl with a slight nutty taste. Add more curry powder if you like your food hot!

Whole grain mustard

Cumin

1⁄2T

Carrots, grated

Vegetable stock

500mls

Played red lentils, washed

1⁄4Cup

Peanut butter

1 T

Curry powder

1 t

Pepper

To taste

Natural yoghurt

To garnish

Fresh coriander or mint, chopped

To garnish

Method

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Add wholegrain mustard and cumin and stir.
  3. Add carrots, stock and lentils and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring regularly.
  4. Stir in peanut butter, curry powder and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes then serve.
  6. Garnish with yoghurt and coriander or mint.

Serving Suggestion: Serve on rice, naan or pita bread.
