Ingredients

Custard (fresh or made from powder)

1 cup

2 cups

Canned fruit, drained (peaches, pears, or apricots)

1⁄2 Can

1 Can

Berries (fresh or frozen)

1⁄4Cup

1⁄2Cup

Marshmallows (optional)

Method

  1. Place custard into a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut canned fruit up into bite-sized pieces and add to bowl along with the berries and marshmallows.
  3. Stir mixture until just combined.

Serving suggestion: serve in individual bowls or in a small brandy basket.

Variations:

* Other fruit can be added e.g. pineapple, apricot, peach, plum, orange, kiwifruit etc.

* Add walnuts or sliced almonds

• Use as a topping or filling for a sponge cake.

* Use as an alternative trifle filling in place or whipped cream.
